I had plans this weekend to immerse myself in a hefty tome, such as Peter Hennessy's book on 1950s Britain. yet the sheer range of options pushed me towards another one of the Ace Doubles instead. The first one of the new bunch was Jack Williamson's Dome Around America, which managed to be both an interesting adventure with a premise surprisingly advanced for its time and a dated relic of the Cold War. Still, I enjoyed it enormously.
