Reading progress update: I've read 38 out of 815 pages.
Though I have all of the volumes in the Secretaries of Defense Historical Series, this is the first one that I've read. While it's proving to be a bit of a slog, it's every bit as informative about defense policy formulation as I hoped it would be. If the other volumes are this insightful I may have to make reading them a higher priority!
